(ADA) is an independent nonprofit, nongovernmental, tax exempt 501(c)(3) membership organization that is dedicated to promoting democracy by encouraging Africans,
particularly women and children, to internalize and practise
democratic values in their societies. The organization was founded in May 2000 and opened a West Africa Regional Office in The Gambia in June 2001.

The following International Conference will be organised by ADA:
"GOOD GOVERNANCE AND BUSINESS ARE ESSENTIAL FACTORS TO DEVELOPMENT"
Conference Objectives:
To identify specific areas in which business communities can
contribute to good governance and development in Africa
To encourage the involvement of key actors in governance which
is seen as critical to the realization of effective and successful
conflict resolution and disaster management in Africa.
